Cover Story: An Old-Fashioned Egg Hunt - Since 1961, Don and Cleo Madden of Martell, Neb., have held an annual Easter egg hunt at their farm. What began as a small party for a Sunday School class has grown into a huge event and beloved tradition that attracts 700 local children. The Maddens, both 72, and their three adult daughters last year hid about 960 real eggs and 2,400 plastic eggs filled with candy in a 22-acre field. They also baked and decorated 500 cupcakes for the event.

Made in America: Baking with a Twist- Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery is America’s original commercial pretzel bakery, and the Sturgis family continues to bake pretzels in Lititz, Pa. with the same old-fashioned recipe and methods pioneered by the company’s founder in 1861.

Food: Angelo’s Dish - a reader recipe from Pahrump, Nevada.

Food: Cilantro Lime Rice - recipe from Relish magazine
