Live Oak —
An early morning traffic stop ended not only in a DUI arrest, but with the discovery of counterfeit money, records from the Florida Highway Patrol show.
Lucious Henry, 46, 17091 145th Place, McAlpin, was stopped on US 129 around 2:53 a.m., April 6, when the FHP detected that he was unable to maintain a single lane of travel.
Records show that during the traffic stop, Henry appeared to be impaired and a field sobriety test was administered. As a result, it became apparent to authorities that Henry was intoxicated to the point that his normal faculties were impaired and he was placed under arrest.
Authorities say that while conducting an inventory of Henry’s vehicle, they discovered a box that was marked “Blazer 9mm” and contained six rounds of 9mm ammunition. Records show that a criminal record check of Henry revealed that he was a convicted felon.
Upon arriving at the jail, Henry agreed to submit to a breathalyzer, which indicated that his blood alcohol content was 0.139, authorities say.
According to the FHP, while booking Henry into the Suwannee County Jail, he was also found to be in possession of four counterfeit bills, which included two $20 bills and two $5 bills.
Henry was charged with DUI, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and possession of false bank bills.
