The vacant position of county administrator in Suwannee County has drawn 24 applicants, according to county records.
The position was created to replace the county coordinator position, which was vacated in December by former County Coordinator Joe Gerrity. The application deadline was April 12. Applicants from as far as Miami and Homestead, Fla applied. According to records from the Suwannee County Personnel Offices, over half of the applicants are current Suwannee County residents.
Those who have applied for the job, which has an annual salary range of $80,000 - $100,000, include George Barwick, Crawfordville, Fla.; Winton Bass Jr., Live Oak; Josephine Costa, Live Oak; George Dempsey, Live Oak; Christine Dodd, O’Brien; Monda Duncan, Live Oak; Lori Evans, Jacksonville; Mark Evans, Jacksonville; Randy Harris, Live Oak; Michelle Hart, Live Oak; William Higginbotham Jr., Seminole, Fla.; William Huseonica, McAlpin; Mike Konefal, Port Charlotte, Fla.; Steven Losner, Homestead, Fla.; Aaron Mathews, Bristol, Fla.; John McCue, Orange City, Fla.; Joseph Miranti, Saint Cloud, Fla.; Sean Morales, Miami Lakes, Fla.; Tori Musgrove, Live Oak; Lisa Posey, Branford; Constantino Purrinos, Miami, Fla.; Ronald Richardson, O’Brien; Jacqueline White, Live Oak and Timothy Williams, Wellborn.
The field of 24 will be narrowed during the May 1 Suwannee County Board of County Commission meeting when each of the five county commissioners will carry two applicant names to submit for interviews.
