Mayo — The name of the motorcyclist who died this afternoon following a motrcycle wreck on the Hal Adams Bridge on SR 51 in Lafayette County is Danny Walker, according to officials.

Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Mark Boatright says that the driver of a motorcycle is dead following a crash with a farm tractor around 2:06 p.m. today on the Hal Adams Bridge that spans the Suwannee River and connects Lafayette and Suwannee counties. The crash occurred on the Lafayette County side. Officials closed SR 51 on both sides before the bridge so an investigation and clean-up can occur. No one, including media, is allowed past the road blocks, with the exception of officials. Boatright said the motorcyclist was riding alone and that there was one person on the tractor. Boatright expects the road to be closed for a few hours.
The name of the deceased and those involved are not being released right now. We will update when we receive more information from the Florida Highway Patrol.
