Swearing-in set for Suwannee, Lafayette, Hamilton constitutional officers

The Suwannee County Clerk of Court, Tax Collector, Sheriff, Property Appraiser and Supervisor of Elections will take the oath of office Tuesday, Jan. 6 at the county courthouse. The Third Circuit State Attorney, Public Defender and Circuit Judge will also be sworn in.

Taking the oath will be: Barry Baker (clerk of court), Sharon Jordan (tax collector), Tony Cameron (sheriff), Lamar Jenkins (property appraiser), Glenda Williams (supervisor of elections), Robert L. “Skip” Jarvis Jr. (state attorney), Dennis Roberts (public defender) and Leandra Johnson (circuit judge).

The oaths will be administered in the second floor courtroom by Third Circuit Judge David Fina. The 3 p.m. ceremony, which is open to the public, will be followed by light refreshments.

The Lafayette County Clerk of Court, Property Appraiser, Sheriff, Supervisor of Elections and Tax Collector will take the oath of office at the Courthouse in Mayo at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6.

Taking the oath will be Ricky Lyons (clerk of court), Tim Walker (property appraiser), Brian Lamb (Sheriff), Lana Morgan (Supervisor of Elections) and Marilyn Wimberley (tax collector).

County Judge Darren Jackson will be presiding.

Hamilton County constitutional officers will be sworn on Jan. 6 in an 8:30 a.m. ceremony in the courtroom of the county courthouse.
