Suwannee County will soon get some relief from mosquitoes that have been multiplying since the recent flooding, according to Sheriff/Emergency Operations Director Tony Cameron.
Cameron said mosquitoes will be sprayed tomorrow and Saturday.
"There will be ground spraying along the rivers throughout the county," said Cameron.
The county commission asked the state for help April 28 for mosquito control and was recently approved.
Cameron said the Federal Emergency Management Agency and other state agencies are picking up the tab for the fee.
Individuals can get larvicide free at garbage collection sites within the county.
Cameron stresses residents to follow the instructions on the back of the container and only one container per family is needed.
