Suwannee Weekend - A look at what's happening this weekend

Live Oak — Scarecrow Festival 


The Live Oak Partnership is hosting the Live Oak Scarecrow Festival on Saturday. A pancake breakfast, chili cook-off, pet costume contest, children’s activities and more will be available in downtown Live Oak. Haunted house


Kiwanis and Key Club Haunted House. Come and get spooked. Today, from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, from 5-9 p.m. at the Suwannee County Fairgrounds on 11th Street. Entry fee is $1. All donations support the local Kiwanis Club. 





Branford’s Annual Fall Festival


Sponsored by Branford High and Elementary schools Saturday from 4-6 p.m. Costume parade line-up by Shriners Club at 3 p.m. Costume constest at BHS track at 4 p.m. Booths will be set up by various classes with different activites for the children to particpate in. Come out and support the students and teachers of Branford schools. Trick-or-treating in Branford will begin immediately after the fall festival ends. The FFA Haunted Maze will also be open from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.



Magnolia Farms festival


Magnolia Farms’ Down on the Farm event is going on right now and will end on Halloween, Oct. 31. The farm is celebrating its annual Fall Harvest and its fifth year of service to the Live Oak community. They are open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sundays from 12-4 p.m. Visit the farm and meet the 56 dairy goats, turkeys, great pyrenees, livestock and guardian dogs. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras to take pictures with the animals. This year’s event is free.
