Friends of the Stephen Foster Coffee House: WE’RE BACK!

Jasper — That’s right, folks. The second half of the 2011 Coffee House season begins this Saturday evening, July 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Stephen Foster auditorium where you will be thoroughly entertained. Our hostess for this gala will be our own Lucy Spencer. Lucy works in the events department at the park and plays a mean piano, so bring your tapping toes and your sing-a-long voice.

We need your help with the dessert table and I thank you in advance for your donations.  The selling of sweets you provide allows us to continue this program, so thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dog enthusiasts: here’s an event that will have you barking. Dog Days of Summer, July 9 at your park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a parade of paws, canine costumes and trick competition, as well as demonstrations of all description. Dr. Hawthorne from Lake City Animal Hospital will be here to answer your questions and so will Pet Smart with free give-a-ways. Bring your own dog, but don’t forget the leash – the leash must not exceed 6 ft. and is required. Regular park entrance fees apply.

So, we look forward to seeing you again at Coffee House this Saturday. Come sit in the cool and enjoy an evening of story and song. Hope to see you then.
