Steven Seagal Lawman: The Complete Season One
DVD ($19.95)
He’s a worldwide action-movie icon, a martial arts expert---and a deputy policeman. As his popular A&E reality series notes, “It’s no act” when Steven Seagal pins on his badge and heads out to enforce the law in and around New Orleans, as he’s been doing for nearly 20 years. Watch all 13 episodes for an exciting, real-world perspective on one actor’s exceptional, uniquely dedicated---and sometimes dangerous---life of community service out of the Hollywood spotlight.

I’ll Wait in the Car
Text & Photographs by Marcie Jan Bronstein
Softcover, 112 pages ($12.95)
Seeing a dog riding shotgun always makes me smile. There’s just something about it that pushes my pick-me-up button. If you know what I’m talking about, you’ll love this little collection of 50-some color photos of Man’s Best Friend as passengers---enjoying the sights and smells of the world zipping by, waiting for their owners to return from the store or the gym or the post office, or simply looking fretful, serene, alert, on guard or adorable.

Twistable, Turnable Man: A Tribute to the Songs of Shel Silverstein
Various artists
CD ($17.98)
You’re most likely familiar with him as the poet and illustrator of the childhood storybook classics “Where the Sidewalk Ends” and “The Giving Tree.” But the multi-talented Shel Silverstein, who died in 1999, was also a successful songwriter. This homage, produced by country hit-maker Bobby Bare and his son, Bobby Jr., features 15 Silverstein tunes newly re-interpreted by a range of artists (from pop rockers My Morning Jacket to country icon Ray Price) that fittingly reflects the spread and diversity of his one-of-a-kind creative gifts.
