Live Oak —
Jason & The Argonauts
Blu-ray $24.95
After it hit the big screen in 1963, this “cine-magic” tale taken from Greek mythology became a cult classic for its many marvels of meticulous, stop-motion animation. (That army of grinning, sword-fighting skeletons still gives me the willies.) It sparkles and shines anew on Blu-ray with an array of bonus features, including commentary by “Lord of the Rings” director Peter Jackson and an interview with the movie’s special-effects genius, Ray Harryhausen, now 90.

Setlist: The Very Best of…
CD $7.99
Country fans will enjoy these repackaged collections of in-concert performances by Alabama, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, all culled from previous live recordings. And the music’s not all that’s repurposed: Each CD is from 100% recycled materials, and instead of an inserted paper booklet, it’s downloadable on a computer. So you don’t have to worry about leaving a messy carbon footprint as you’re tapping your toes!
