The National Weather Service is closely monitoring the situation along the Alapaha in Hamilton County, according to Meteorologist Steve Letro.
As of now, the weather event expected to come through this weekend does not look like it will have an especially large impact, according to Letro. "We do have some problems along to Alapaha," said Letro. "If the weather system coming in near the end of the week winds up being stronger, we could have more flooding."
