Jasper —
On Monday, Feb. 11, Keith Brown from S&S Food Stores/Scaff’s Inc. presented the Hamilton County School District with a check for $6,000 on behalf of S&S and BP (British Petroleum), which is to be used for the homeless children program.
“Last year we presented and BP was nice enough to award it again to us,” said Brown. “Last year I believe you had in excess of 400 homeless students in the school system. I don’t know how many are here this year, but they’re still needing our help. As long as BP will help us out with this we’ll come to you and present you with more money.”
