Jasper’s Sweets N the Streets Festival is tomorrow, Dec. 8

Jasper — The Hamilton County Chamber of Commerce is holding their first Sweets N the Streets Festival on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. in downtown Jasper.

This year’s Christmas event will be a full day of fun, arts, crafts, amusements, food vendors and a grand finale Christmas parade down Hatley Street. There may even be a surprise guest who wears a red suit over his plump belly and listens to children recite their Christmas wishes. Rumor has it he will be on the final float in the parade and then he’ll be the guest of honor at Christmas in the Park.

Lineup for the parade is at 5 p.m. at the old middle school at the school board office. Judging will begin at 5:30, and then the parade starts at 6 p.m. and will end at the city park.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
