To the Editor:
We would like to give a shout out to a wonderful coach. Her name is coach Kathy Wood. She is our swimming coach and some of us have swam with her as our coach since we were 6 years old, and now we are seniors at Suwannee High School.
Even though she may have been hard on us and pushed us past our limits, we love her and are THANKFUL to her for that. She only wanted the best for us and knew if she didn't push us, she wouldn't get it.
Coach Wood has also been at the swimming pool with some of us at 5 a.m. before going to her regular job at the Intermediate School and then be back there at 3:30 p.m. to help us get ready for meets against some of our toughest competitors. She has taken us to District and Regional Swim Meets and stood at the end of the pool and cheered us on for up to 8 hours at each of these meets.
While she has been our Coach, she has helped some of us to break individual records as well as relay team records that have been held for up to 18 years to 20 years.
We would like Coach Wood to know we really do LOVE YOU and we are THANKFUL for all the time and effort you have devoted to us as our Swim Coach.
