Live Oak —
Two men have been arrested on grand theft charges after exiting Walmart with over $1,400 worth of items that had not been paid for, according to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office.
David Geiger, 18, 279 SW Mill Lane, Lake City and David Jones, 21, Yulee, Fla., put items into a shopping cart at the Live Oak Walmart and passed all points of sale without paying for any of the items on Monday, April 9, according to reports.
When deputies arrived around 3 p.m., Geiger and Jones admitted to taking the items, which were valued at $1,426, authorities say.
According to reports, Geiger and Jones were arrested on one count of grand theft each and booked into the Suwannee County Jail.
