Live Oak —
A Lake City teen was arrested on April 9 after authorities discovered that he stole and later sold several pieces of jewelry that belonged to a Suwannee County resident, records from the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office show.
Pablo Melendez III, 18, 102 S.W. Hosford Court, Lake City, entered a 172nd Place residence of on April 6 and took several pieces of jewelry. Authorities say that Melendez later sold the jewelry to a coin and bullion dealer. Reports show the value of the stolen property exceeded $300.
Melendez was arrested on one charge each of burglary of a dwelling, grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
