Sheriff's deputies are searching for an Hispanic male, considered a suspect in a stabbing at Suwannee Farms Wednesday night.
According to Chief Deputy Ron Colvin, 30-year-old Apnail Odeyvi Gomez, of Suwannee Farms Migrant Camp Apt. 9, is being sought in the case. The alleged victim has been identified as 30-year-old Dilmar Ortiz Morales, who also worked and lived on the farm.
While serious, the injuries "don't appear to be life-threatening," said Sheriff Tony Cameron.
Sheriff's reports state an altercation at the farm between the two led to Morales being stabbed twice with a knife, once in the lower left abdomen and once in the right forearm. Colvin said Gomez fled the area on foot and was still at large as of Thursday morning.
Further details as they become available.
