HOME INVASIONS: ROBBERY IS #23

Second such incident, and the 4th armed robbery, in less than a week

Live Oak Police reported another home invasion inside city limits Wednesday night, the second in less than a week and the 23rd since December.

According to a report by LOPD Det. Sgt. Ron Shaw, two male suspects forced their way into a home in the 1100 block of 2nd Street around 10:25 p.m.

Reports from on-scene officers indicate that several people were at the residence where a card game was taking place. Shaw said the suspects forcibly entered the home and held everyone present at gunpoint with two handguns and what could be an AK47 assault rifle. The robbers took about $350 off the game table during the robbery.

The suspects are described as black males, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 to 175 pounds. They were described as wearing black clothing and black masks. One suspect was armed with the two handguns while the other was armed with the rifle, according to Shaw.

No injuries were reported.

The victims in this case were not Hispanic, as in most of the previous home invasion robberies here since December.

Home invasion robbery #22 occurred Monday night in the 1400 block of Duval Street.

Anyone with information concerning these crimes is encouraged to contact the LOPD at 386-362-7463 or Suwannee Valley Crimestoppers at 386-208-8477.
