Rant & Rave - May 4, 2012

Live Oak — I was just wondering. Isn't there anything the police can do about the disrespectful people that ride up and down the street with their music booming so loud you can't think straight enough to drive yourself.

****

I wonder when the Suwannee Middle School will be changing its torn and tattered U.S. flag.

****

Let’s bring Live Oak into the 21st Century. Vote for the changes proposed by the Charter Review Committee please. Thank you.

I have questions for SRWMD:  How much water (GPD) is used within the district?  How much of this water (gpd) do you expect to save by invoking a mandatory water restriction within the district?  How much water is needed to have a 1-inch rise in the water table?   After a year  this restriction is invoked, what could be the change in the groundwater due directly to this action?

I hope the Bulldogs have a better season this year. I say if this season doesn't go well, SCSB needs to cut the program altogether and put the funds into a program or sport that actually WINS!

Can't wait for the Suwannee River Jam!!! So excited to hear all of the performers, come on out ya'll and have a good time!! -A Huge Josh Turner Fan

Has there been any update on the worker from SVEC that was badly injured. I feel as though The Democrat needs to have more updates to their stories. -A Concerned Citizen

So tired of seeing the trash on the sides of HWY 129! I think its ridiculous that people can't keep it in their cars until they get home! Come on people GROW UP!!!

Two weeks ago, two dogs attacked my nine year old cat who was on my porch. And for several trips to the animal hospital I still do not know if my cat will live. When you turn your dogs out to run after dark you might think about the children playing outside. What about them. Would your dog attack a child?

Yes, this is a rant. Politicians you should ask people before you place your political campaign signs in their yard that is their personal land, private land and without asking you have no class, you should ask before you put your sign in their private personal yard. Thank you.

Jesse Caruthers here. It sure is sad to see that candidate signs are being stolen. Their banners and those things. You would hope that people wouldn’t resort to that. They’re very expensive and it’s sad to see it happen. Thank you.
