Live Oak —
Three teens were seriously hurt in a Saturday afternoon ATV crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to FHP, Victoria Page Dean, 15, Lake City; Jordan Townsend, 15, Live Oak and Logan Townsend, 15, Live Oak, suffered the injuries following the 3 p.m. crash.
FHP reports that the 2006 Yamaha Rhino was traveling northbound on Hogan Road, south of CR 136, when it entered a curve and for unknown reasons rolled over onto its left side. The ATV then slid in a northerly direction before coming to a final rest on Hogan Road, facing a southerly direction.
The left arm of the driver, Dean, became pinned between the ATV roll bar and the road. The Townsends were ejected from the vehicle, according to FHP.
FHP reports that neither rider was wearing a helmet.
Dean was transported to Shands Gainesville, while the Townsends were sent to Shands Live Oak.
Charges are pending a further investigation, FHP reported.
