Live Oak —
Wake up Suwannee County Citizens! Our water is disappearing right before our eyes. Where is the Suwannee River Water Management District? Why haven't they been protecting our water instead of sitting idle while St. Johns River WMD permit our water supply. We are being taxed, but we are not being represented! We are in big trouble my friends, big trouble.

I am in no way/shape/form for or against this landfill issue. But several of you need to get your facts straight first. Spend a few minutes learning about landfills before you start typing away. Methane is collected with pipes, massive layers of tarps are used to control runoff, and birds/mice/etc are not a problem. Five minutes of searching would tell you this.
****
I think a landfill on 129 north is a great idea. Wish I had thought of it. Live Oak needs to grow in another direction, not towards the interstate. Thanks to Suwannee county leaders for sticking to their guns on this issue. You complainers need to stop looking for trouble anywhere you can find it, just let them do the job they were elected to do. KEEP SUWANNEE for SUWANNEE COUNTIANS and not for Walmart and other chain stores and restaurants.
****
Before we allow a hazardous landfill in our area, the company must be able to prove their design works. I propose building 'twin' landfills NEXT TO THE GOVERNOR'S MANSION and another one NEXT TO HIS PRIVATE RESIDENCE. If, after 5-years there is not adverse impacts, then we should allow the third one to be built in our area.
