Doxie Derby runs at North Florida Animal Rescue

Live Oak — It was raining cats and dogs Saturday afternoon at The North Florida Animal Rescue (NFAR) Doxie Derby. But, the wet weather didn’t dampen the spirits of dachshund owners from near and far. The event was part of the National Dachshund Race Circuit Races. The champion was Ollie who owns human Sherri Hingson from Lake City. Ollie is eligible to run in the Champion of Champions Race in Findlay, Ohio where the race is 35 feet in length. NFAR is located at 16800 CR 137 in Wellborn.
