Live Oak — Elizabeth A. Lumpkin

Jan. 9, 2012

Elizabeth A. Lumpkin, a resident of White Springs, Florida, passed away Jan. 9, 2012 in Gainesville, Florida.

Mrs. Elizabeth Lumpkin is survived by her husband, Mr. Herbert Lumpkin; sisters-in-law, Loraine Bradley and husband and Francine Lumpkin; brother-in-law, Hezekiah Lumpkin and wife and Harold Lumpkin and wife; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many other close relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. elizabeth Lumpkin will be on Sat., Jan 14, 2012 at 1 p.m. in thw Sweet Home Baptist Church of White Springs, Fl, Rev. Fred Scippio, pastor.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Fri., Jan 13, 2012 at 5 p.m. in the Sweet Home Baptist Church.

Interment will be in Swift Creek Cemetery in White Springs, Fl.

Don Wayne Fox Sr.

March 26, 1950 - Jan. 10, 2012

Don Wayne Fox Sr., 61, of Live Oak, Fla., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012 at his home. The Live Oak, Fla. native spent many years as a mail handler at the US Postal Service in Moore, Okla. before returning in 2001. Mr. Fox served in the Army during Vietnam and also worked as a commercial painter.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Robert Eugene Fox.

He is survived by his wife: Donna Fox, Live Oak, Fla.; daughters:  Heather Renee Fox, Hudson, Fla.; Angela Denean Fox, Palm Harbor, Fla.; Sheila Annette Nichols, Edmond, Okla.; Tammy Marie Huckeby, Pauls Valley, Okla.; sons: Don Wayne Fox Jr., Safety Harbor, Fla.; Tommy Wayne Huckeby, Ada, Okla.; Billy Lynn Huckeby, Palm Harbor, Fla.; sisters:  Karen Fox, Athens, Ala.; Barbara Harrell, White Springs, Fla.; Belinda Edwards, N.C.; brother: Charles Edward Fox, Live Oak, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Lucious Bernard Raines

Nov. 6, 1916 - Jan. 9, 2012

Lucious Bernard Raines, 95, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2012 in Suwannee Valley Haven Hospice near Lake City.

He was born Nov. 6, 1916 in Madison County, Fla. to the late Lucious Edmond Raines and Mattie Lucia (Zipperer). He, as a young man, along with his family came to Suwannee County during the depression where he lived the remainder of his life.

He married Jennie Vee Cheshire in 1939 and they were together for 57 years. They lived together on a small farm near Wellborn. Bernard was a simple man and they lived a simple, yet enjoyable life. Farming was his occupation and he spoke often of learning to till the soil behind a mule and plow. He became a good, productive farmer enjoying what he did and raising his family with the fruits of his labor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jennie Vee in 2006, his brother Leon Raines and two sisters, Marie Clayton and Clyde Newbern. He is survived by his daughter, JoeAnn Foster (Bill), their children, Phillip (Cathy Jo) and their son Burke; Paige Bergeron (William) and their daughter Bailey and son Blake. His son, Kenneth (Elaine) and their children Nicky (Haley) and their children, Brittney Smith (Ryan) and their son Ean; Nicky and Taylor Raines and Lacey; Michelle Thomas (Guy) and her son Kyle; Stephen; Beth Lawton (Scott) and their son Sawyer; Galen (Emiley) and their two daughters, Amelia and Samantha and their son, Benjamin. His daughter Mona Gillen (Scotty) and her son Brian Brown and her daughter Jenni Roberts (Mike) and their son Kade Maulden and their daughter Gracie. Scotty's daughters, April Dasher (Greg) and their son's Jarod and Michael and their daughter Brooke; Andrea Chapman (Rob) and their daughter Lilla. He is also survived and will be  missed by several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends, neighbors and fellow church members.

He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church where he worked and served along with his wife for many years. He also served as a deacon and delighted in attending as often as he could in his declining years.

Funeral services are being held at Mount Olive, Jan. 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. followed by burial in the church cemetery. Viewing was held Jan. 12, 2012 at the Daniels Funeral Home. Former Mount Olive pastor, John Harrison and current pastor, Wally Weaver, will be conducting his service.

Imogene McKinney Crout

Aug. 9, 1925 - Jan. 6, 2012

Mrs. Imogene McKinney Crout, 86, of Columbia, S.C. died on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012. Born in Mayo, Fla., on Aug. 9, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Summer McKinney and Ruby Lee Suggs McKinney.

Mrs. Crout, a member of the Reformation Lutheran Church, was a loving mother of two children, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Harold E. Crout, of Columbia; sons, Harold Marvin (Sharon) Crout, of Statesburg, Ga.; Rick (Patricia) Crout, of Columbia; grand-daughter, Jessica Crout; grandson, Kelly (Melanie) Crout; great grandchildren, Emi and Riley Crout. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, and one sister.

A funeral service for Mrs. Crout was held 2 o’clock, Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at Reformation Lutheran Church, 1118 Union St., Columbia, S.C., 29201, with The Rev. G.W. Bill Eiwen and The Rev. James Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the organ fund at Reformation Lutheran Church or to Solaris Hospice, 3937 Sunset Blvd. #B, West Columbia, S.C. 29169.
