Live Oak —
The Florida Highway Patrol is monitoring the areas North of Branford on SR-247 and CR 49 North of SR 27 in Suwannee County for smoke/fog visibility issues. The Sheriff's Office advised of a control burn in this area. The Forestry Deparment has been notified. Signs have been posted on the roadway to drive with caution.
The fire is out with a few hot spots remaining. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas. Visibility may deteriorate quickly due to smoke/fog type conditions especially during the night time and early morning hours. Motorists are reminded to reduce their speed and utilize low beam headlights in order to adapt to changing weather conditions.
