Mayo —
On Wednesday, Feb. 6, the Rotary Club of Mayo officially inducted new member Travis Hart into the club.
Hart was elected to the office of Lafayette County Supervisor of Elections this past November. Previously, he had an impressive career as district representative for the United States House of Representatives (Florida Congressional District 2) and in 2011 he was hired as a legislative assistant in the Florida Senate (District 3) to Senator Charles Dean (R-Inverness).
Hart has been attending the weekly meetings of the Rotary Club for several weeks and finally made the decision to be a part of the organization and he was accepted.
Longtime Rotary member Angie Ceraso had the honor of reading the membership obligations to Hart and then Rotary President Sheriff Brian Lamb presented him with his official certificate of membership plaque.
