Update: Teen dies from injuries in ATV wreck

Live Oak — The 14-year-old Wellborn girl that was involved in a four-wheeler accident Thursday night has died from her injuries, her dad Michael Summerfield confirmed via Facebook.

Those close to the situation said she passed away around 5 a.m. Saturday morning.

Raivyn Summerfield was ejected after the ATV she was riding struck a ditch on CR 417 around 6:30 p.m. Thursday night.

The report released Friday night states that James Michael Jones, 18, of Live Oak, was operating the four-wheeler on private property east of CR 417, south of CR 136 when he crossed CR 417 and struck the ditch on the east shoulder of CR 417. The four-wheeler overturned, ejecting Jones and Summerfield.

FHP reports that Jones suffered critical injuries.

"My beautiful baby Raivyn went to live with the Lord Jesus Christ ... I will miss my baby with all my heart and soul please pray for my family........she's with the Lord Jesus Christ," Michael Summerfield stated on his Facebook page.

The social network site was flooding with prayers and remorse Saturday morning upon hearing the news that a young Suwannee County life was lost.
