Live Oak —
A Suwannee Correctional Institution inmate was booked into the Suwannee County Jail on battery charges, according to records from the Suwannee County Jail.
Johnny Burgess, 29, Suwannee C.I., threw fecal material onto the shoulder, pants and boot of a Department of Corrections employee. According to reports, the incident was witnessed by at least four other staff members and the incident was captured on video.
Burgess is currently serving a 30 year prison sentence for second degree murder and now faces the charge of battery on detention facility staff.
