Live Oak —
A report from the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office shows that $80 was taken from a local hairdresser before being fatally shot nine times in his home on April 28.
Charles David Napier, 49, was found dead Sunday, April 29, in his 127th Place home by his mother.
Anthony Michael Ortiz, 16, Hamilton Avenue, Live Oak, was arrested for armed robbery and first degree murder in the case. The SCSO report states that Napier was shot by a .40 caliber handgun around 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 28.
Authorities say that Ortiz admitted in an audio statement to murdering Napier and robbing him of the $80. In addition to Ortiz’s statement, the report shows that he told a witness about the murder and the witness also wrote and signed a witness statement to that effect.
