SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA - The 5th Annual Purple Hatters Ball will be held this weekend, May 11-13, at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Fla. This event celebrates the life of Rachel Morningstar Hoffman with music, camping and community.
Artists performing on the Amphitheater and Porch stage will be B.I.G.I. (Russell Batiste, Ivan Neville, George Porter Jr. and Ian Neville), Break Science with Chali 2'Na, The Heavy Pets, Honey Island Swamp Band, DubConscious, The Malah, Greenhouse Lounge, Catfish Alliance, Earphunk, FLT RSK, Trial By Stone, Savi Fernandez Band, Gravity A, Sir Charles, Pepper Drive, Corporal Boil, Legacy and the Heard and Stone Street.
Performing on the Crunchay Beach Stage Friday from 3 - 5 p.m. and Saturday from noon - 3 p.m. will be Combustible, Eyes & Ears, Satoru, Uprise, Eyecon, Vlad the Inhaler, Sir Charles and t8t(tot).
Gates open at noon Friday, May 11. Music starts at 5 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 10 a.m. and music begins at noon. On Sunday, gates open at 10 a.m., music starts at noon.

$60 until gates open
$75 at gate
$30 day tickets are available for Sunday only and are only available at the gate.
All advance tickets include three days of music, primitive camping and all taxes and fees.

One Bedroom Cabin Special - $400+tax includes Friday, Saturday & Sunday night and a golf cart. This price is good for 2 adults and does NOT include the event ticket. Additional person in cabin is $65 plus tax per/person, limit 4 people to a cabin. Cabins are limited, so jump on this quickly
The SOSMP’s SOS Café and Restaurant is always open during events and brings wonderful culinary creations to delight you and your guests.

The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is located at 3076 95th Drive 4.5 miles north of Live Oak, Fl off US 129 at the famous Suwannee River. The park is 4.5 miles south of Interstate 75 and 4.5 miles north of Interstate 10 off US 129. Keep an eye out for the SOSMP sign and white painted board fence!

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Officer D. Mobley stopped by the Democrat offices Wednesday afternoon with this alligator that he had just caught in a Hamilton County pond. Mobley will be showing another alligator to students at Suwannee Primary School on Thursday along with other wildlife as part of an FWC event.
