A Miami woman has been arrested for introducing marijuana and other contraband items into Suwannee Correctional Institution, according to records from the Suwannee County Jail.
Jacqueline L. Tintorero, 49, Miami, had a discussion with her co-defendant, Diego Loaiza, about purchasing, concealing and transporting marijuana, tobacco, and cellular telephones into the state prison. Records show the discussion took place by telephone on Dec. 15.
On Dec. 27, Tintorero was found to be in possession of .8 ounces of marijuana and Top tobacco, that was hidden inside Chinese rice and two cellular telephones that were hidden inside of candy bars, records show.
Tintorero was charged with introduction of contraband into a correctional institution, possession of contraband while upon the grounds of a state institution and attempted introduction of contraband into a state prison facility.
She was arrested and booked into the Suwannee County Jail on Feb. 17, according to jail records.

Jeep collides with semi's trailer; one injured
An emergency response official on scene at the SR 51 crash that occurred around 8:40 tonight, said a Jeep collided with a semi's trailer, tearing off a wheel from the trailer. The unidentified driver of the Jeep appeared to have minor injuries and was transported to Shands Live Oak, the official said.
