Area road and lane closures for Oct. 24-30

SUWANNEE COUNTY

Interstate 10

The eastbound rest area located just west of the Interstate 75 interchange is scheduled to be completely closed Wednesday and Thursday for placement of the pavement markings. The next rest area is 24 miles to the east in Baker County.



US 129

Daytime lane closures between U.S. 27 and the Hamilton County line to allow inmate crews to repaint the roadway markings.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY

State Road 51

Daytime lane closures at the Hal Adams Bridge over the Suwannee River Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for routine bridge inspection.



HAMILTON COUNTY

County Road 135 (Woodpecker Route)

Daytime lane closures between U.S. 41 in White Springs and Southeast 177th Court for placement of sod along the roadway shoulder and to install signs.



Interstate 75

Daytime lane closures for northbound and southbound traffic at the Alapaha River overflow bridge beginning after 8 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday while crews take asphalt samples.



U.S. 41

The road will be completely closed Friday (October 30) from 2:15 to 4 p.m. in Jasper for the Hamilton County High School Homecoming Parade. Traffic will be detoured to Martin Luther King Drive. Jasper Police Department will detour traffic.



COLUMBIA COUNTY

Interstate 10

The westbound rest area located just west of the Interstate 75 interchange is scheduled to be completely closed Monday and Tuesday for placement of the pavement markings. The next rest area is 24 miles to the west in Madison County.



Lake Jeffery Road (County Road 250)

Daytime lane closures between the Suwannee County line and the Interstate 75 overpass after 8:30 a.m. while crews widen the travel lanes from 10-foot wide to 12 feet and work on the drainage pipes. The road surface will remain milled for a few weeks.



State Road 47

Daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. about a mile south of Interstate 75 to add a southbound left turn lane at a new Dollar General store being constructed.



U.S. 441 (Marion Avenue)

The road will be completely closed from the FDOT office to Washington Street Friday (October 30) from 2 to 5 p.m. in Lake City for the Columbia High School Homecoming Parade. Traffic will be detoured to U.S. 90, Old Country Club Road, County Road 252 and U.S 41. Lake City Police Department will detour traffic.



DIXIE COUNTY

County Road 55A

Daytime lane closures between County Road 349 and Glenn Drive (Southeast 1875th Street) in order to add a 4-foot bike lane and 5-foot wide sidewalk for Old Town Elementary School students.



County Road 351

Daytime lane closures from Jones Street to County Road 351A in Cross City to add 4-foot bike lanes and 5-foot wide sidewalk for Anderson Elementary and Ruth Rains Middle School students.
