More than a few expressed puzzlement over our Nov. 27 Question of the Week, which asked simply, "Team Edward or Team Jacob?"
The reference is to the movie New Moon, the latest installment in The Twilight Saga. Edward, in both book and film, is a vampire, his rival Jacob a werewolf. Fans of the series have taken sides over the years, creating something of a rivalry of their own. We thought we'd see which side you were on.
A break from the serious stuff sounded like a good idea at the time. As it turns out, only 13 people participated in our online poll. (Team Edward won, 54-46 percent.)
We'll do our best to stick to more traditional topics in the future. No guarantees, though.

Congratulations to everybody, past and present, responsible for the continued success of Christmas on the Square. The festival, which turns 25 this year, just gets better with age. There's plenty to be proud of here in Suwannee County, and Christmas on the Square tops the list.

While we're at it, congrats to the folks who staged the inaugural Live Oak Lights event at Millennium Park Saturday. We estimated the crowd at a good 400. Pretty fair for a first attempt. Hope to see you there next year.
