O'Brien man charged with lewd acts, fleeing police

An O'Brien man was jailed Monday on charges of lewd and lascivious battery and escaping from police while in custody, Suwannee County Sheriff's records show.

SCSO Lt. Wayne Musgrove arrested 37-year-old Henry Dawson Rogers for performing a sexual act on a 13-year-old on Nov. 12, according to a report by Musgrove. Rogers reportedly confessed to the charges on a tape recorder.

Musgrove said after Rogers was handcuffed, Rogers ran from deputies. He was located about three hours later by a K9 unit.

Rogers was booked into the Suwannee County Jail.
