More to follow, says sheriff

Live Oak — A long-term investigation by the Suwannee County Drug Task Force has led to several drug related arrests in recent weeks with several more to come, according to Suwannee County Sheriff Tony Cameron.

Steven Michael Avdoulos, 21, 1615 Hamilton Ave., Live Oak, was arrested on April 12 and faces multiple drug related charges.

According to reports, Avdoulos sold $50 worth of marijuana, which weighed 11 grams, to a confidential informant on Oct. 27, 2011. Authorities say that a few days later, on Nov 7, Avdoulos sold another 25.1 grams to a confidential informant for $110.

According to SCSO, a search warrant was obtained and a search of Avdoulos’s residence was conducted on Nov. 18, 2011. During the search, deputies discovered several items used for the sale and delivery of marijuana, such as a digital scale, pipe, grinder and numerous plastic baggies. Authorities found 13 baggies containing MDMA packaged to sell and six baggies containing marijuana packaged to sell, reports show. In addition, deputies found one marijuana plant that was being cultivated by Avdoulos.
