James Ronald Robbins, Sr.

James Ronald Robbins, age 69 of Live Oak, Fla. passed
 away Monday evening, Feb. 25, 2013 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lake City.  Ron was a native of Savannah, GA moving to Live Oak in 1976 from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict.  He received the Purple Heart and was awarded a Bronze Star.  He was a truck driver a member and past Exalted Ruler and a three year trustee of the Live Oak Elks Lodge #1165.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Robbins, Live Oak; one son, Jimmy (Cheryl) Robbins, Covington, GA; one daughter, Denise (Geoff) Buchanan, Tallahassee, Fla.; one sister, Bobbie Lowe, Waynesville, NC and five grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Live Oak Elks Lodge. A private burial will be in the veteran’s section of the Live Oak Cemetery.
