Live Oak’s Rheed Baldwin has been named Tallahassee Community College baseball’s Student-Athlete of the Year. Baldwin, a second-year player for the TCC Eagles, received the award on Monday evening during TCC’s Division of Student Affairs Student Leadership and Service Awards Banquet.
The year-end banquet recognizes student leaders from the College’s various student clubs and organizations, as well as intercollegiate athletics.
According to TCC Athletics Director Brian Anweiler, Baldwin received the award by best exemplifying the idea of the student-athlete. Baldwin will earn his associate of arts degree at TCC and plans to major in graphic design.
Baldwin has played first base and third base for the Eagles in 2008 and is batting .341 with one home run and 22 RBI.
