Area road and lane closures for Nov. 29-Dec. 5

Silas Drive

Possible daytime lane closures between Walker Avenue and the Suwannee Sports Complex to allow crews to build a new sidewalk.



State Road 247

A 24-hour a day lane closure is scheduled to begin Monday just south of the Columbia County line to rebuild a short section of pavement. Also, daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. in the Town of Branford to finish work on the sidewalks and driveways between U.S. 129 and the northern city limits. Repaving in the Town of Branford is expected to begin Dec. 8. Possible daytime lane closures from north of Branford to the Columbia County line to pour concrete at some of the drainage pipes.



U.S. 129

Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. to pave the downtown area of Branford from U.S. 27 to the western city limits will continue through Wednesday. Also, daytime lane closures on the rural section from north of Branford to McAlpin continues for the placement of the final layer of asphalt. Crews are currently paving the southbound lane and by Wednesday should begin heading northbound.



U.S. 90

The road will be totally closed from U.S. 129 to Houston Avenue in the City of Live Oak on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the annual Christmas on the Square festival. Live Oak Police will detour traffic.



U.S. 129

The road will be totally closed both north and south of U.S. 90 in the City of Live Oak on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 5:45 to 9 p.m. for the Live Oak Christmas parade. Live Oak Police will detour traffic.



COLUMBIA COUNTY



Marion Avenue (U.S. 441)

The road will be totally closed between Washington Street and Margaret Street on Monday from 6-8 p.m. for the Lake City Christmas parade. Lake City Police will detour traffic. Also, the road will be totally closed this Friday (Nov. 28) and Saturday (Nov. 29) from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. between U.S. 90 and Hillsboro Street in Lake City for the Christmas Festival. All through traffic will be detoured.



Southwest Little Road

The road is totally closed at the Rose Creek Bridge for the next five months to replace the bridge. All through traffic is detoured to Southwest Walter Avenue.
