A Mayo woman died yesterday from injuries suffered in a Lafayette County crash Saturday. Edna Faye Shaw, 71, died at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Sunday, according to Florida Highway Patrol reports.
Shaw was northbound on CR 354 at 5:15 p.m. Saturday when she crossed US 27 and entered the path of a 1995 Winnebago motor home driven by Robert Louis Vowell, 69, of Branford. The motor home, eastbound on US 27, struck the left side of Shaw’s 2000 Pontiac, which came to rest with its left side against the left side of the Winnebago.
Vowell was unhurt. His passenger, Rebecca Fethers Vowell, 66, also of Branford, suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized.
Shaw was airlifted to the hospital from the scene.
No charges will be filed, said FHP.
