POLICE BEAT: Man tried to strangle woman, say deputies

A Live Oak man was charged with domestic battery by strangulation after putting a woman in a headlock and chasing her with a knife while threatening to kill her, according to sheriff’s reports. Bradley Lamar Henderson, 31, of 18741 52nd Terrace, was also charged with aggravated assault and simple battery, jail records show.

The woman reportedly called 911 from her cell phone while fleeing in her vehicle. Henderson allegedly blocked her path with his truck and beat on the windows of her car. The woman was able to evade the roadblock and drove off.

Henderson also allegedly hit the woman in the eye with a closed fist after pulling the phone from the wall, reports show.
