Two men were recently sentenced to prison in unrelated cases involving the sale of cocaine. Suwannee County Circuit Judge Paul Bryan presided.

Stephen Swanson, 56, of Live Oak, was sentenced to 13 months in prison for violation of probation for conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine. Swanson, who has a lengthy arrest record, was arrested in June 2005 for cocaine possession. He was taken into police custody Wednesday.

In an unrelated case, Michael Philip Young, 33, of Lake City, was sentenced to 26 months in prison June 17. Young was charged with violation of probation on an original charge of selling cocaine and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell or deliver. Young was originally charged in January 2008 with possession of cocaine and battery on a law enforcement officer. Young reported to jail and was taken into police custody Friday.
