After facing near closure when the state of Florida threatened to cut off library funding altogether, Branford's public library is at least happy to still have its doors open. The state only recently decided to continue funding of public libraries, although funding is undergoing cut backs. As Suwannee County's smallest library, Branford's public library has been hit hard by recent budget cuts and has been forced to cut back its operating hours.
The new hours are as follows:
Mondays 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
Tuesdays-Friday 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
