This week Lafayette County is getting a new boat ramp at Hal W. Adams bridge. The construction is sponsored by a large state grant. The new boat ramp will be located at the same location as the old one. A large extension is being added and the entire ramp will be fully restored. According to County Commissioner Curtis O. Hamlin, plans for the boat ramp have been in the works for some time. The county was forced to wait to begin construction due to floodwaters.
