Mayo —
On Friday, Dec. 7 at about 8:28 p.m. a call came into dispatch about a house fire at 1815 NE Foye O’Steen Lane in Mayo, according to fire official W.C. Hart.
The home belongs to Earl Byrd who was renting it out to Joey Mroczkowski. Hart said it is believed that the fire started in the kitchen. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters were able to save one portion of the structure and some personal belongings, but the home was declared a total loss, as well as two trucks and one car at the residence, which also caught fire and burned. No persons or animals were harmed in the fire, according to officials.
The incident has been turned over to the homeowner’s insurance company.
