On Saturday night, Oct. 31, with a full moon and all kinds of dressed up children around, the community celebrated the evening with lots and lots of fun for the children. The gathering was hosted by Caroline and Greg Hill at their home in Hatch Bend, as family, friends and church family gathered together to share some fun for all the kids and a time of eating hot dogs and chili and “spooky” desserts, as well as good fellowship for the adults and kids alike.
Many of the adults attending the party also got into the spirit of things, as they too came dressed out in costume.
There were lots of fun things for the children to do, including, “wrapping the mummy” and bobbing for gummy worms in a bowl of cool whip. They played lots of games with prizes, and as soon as darkness fell all the vehicles lined up and down the drive way and around the yard with “Trunk or Treats for the kids. After touring the yard and getting lots of treats, they loaded up on a trailer filled with hay for a night-time hayride.
But, the evening of fun wasn’t quite finished yet, they still had a pinata to burst open, for even more treats.
All in all it was a very enjoyable evening for all who attended, kids and adults alike.
