Legislative Hearing at Lafayette Courthouse

Florida State Legislators Rep. Dwight Stansel and Sen. Nancy Argenziano received input from community leaders and local residents at the legislative hearing held Tuesday morning.

Citizens, city and county officials had the opportunity to bring up issues of concern such as class size reduction, revitalization projects and grant funding.

Sen. Argenziano (R) Crystal River, said small counties such as Lafayette need money for very important things that other counties have. Argenziano said, "It is very important to us to see that rural counties receive the needed funding for their projects."

Other stops for Rep. Stansel and Sen. Argenziano included Gilchrist, Suwannee and Columbia Counties.
