Joseph Edward Sadler, 64, of Perry, turned himself in to the Lafayette County jail on July 10, after a warrant was issued for his arrest on multiple charges, records indicate.
According to an affidavit filed by the state Department of Corrections, Sadler has been charged with introduction of contraband into a state prison, possession of a controlled substance and possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis. The incident occurred at Mayo Correctional Institution on March 13, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Sadler was released on the same day on a $5,000 cash bond, according to the LCSO.
