Mayo — Edna Elizabeth Hines



Edna Elizabeth Hines, age 93, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Lafayette Health Care Center.  Mrs. Hines was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette County, Florida, and was the daughter of the late James William Lashley and the late former Charlie May Lawson. Mrs. Hines was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Mayo.  In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, fishing, crocheting, sewing and reading.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Hines, (2) sons, James Buchanan and Alvis Buchanan, a daughter, Carolyn Webb.

She is survived by (1) son, Clyde Hines, of Steinhatchee, FL, (2) daughters, Elizabeth Boyd, of Valdosta, GA, Peggy Lonell Barkiewicz, of Mayo, FL, (19) grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Aquilla Hanson officiating.
