Mayo —
The Lafayette High School Girls Softball Team was honored during a pep rally and ceremony to issue their championship rings on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 in the gym at the high school. The team won the title in May and became the second sports program to win a FHSAA Class1A state title during the year following the girls volleyball title last November.
Eight members of this team also were members of the championship volleyball team who participated in a similar ceremony to receive their rings this past spring.
