Lady Hornets begin defense of district crown



The running clock the entire second half came into play after the Lady Hornets surged out to a 43-9 halftime lead over Bell in the district opener at the home gym.

Natalie Land would lead the way with 19 points, and pretty much had her way on the boards pulling down 12 and also handed out 5 assists.

Other Hornets reaching the scoring column was Sharhonda Cherry with 8 points, Sunshine Reid 8, Marla Alcazar and Sabrina Craig each with 6, Lillie Prine 5, Takisha Cherry 4, while Kelsey Land and Fran Smith both delivered 3 points.
