Yes, to you. Not the same old suits. To the ones that really matter. The citizens of Suwannee County. It is you who are busy who has found the time to voice your opinions on the proposed landfill. Good or bad. It is the business owners who have expressed their opinions. Good or bad. We have received our share of telephone calls, Rants & Raves, emails and letters stating how you feel.
And you should.
Not just on this issue either, but any issue that you feel affects you in anyway. It is your right to question, to ponder and to down right get mad and tell the ones in the suits just how you feel. Make those we entrust to carry out our governmental deeds remember their jobs.
Hold those that hold power accountable.
Also, continue to question in the public forum that is your local newspaper. No where else will you find a collective readership that comes with its own power other than this.
Stay informed, educate yourself and remember ... this is your community.
You know how we feel about the proposed landfill. We have alluded to it before on this page. But just to make it clear, we are completely against locating a landfill at the US 129 and I-10 corridor.
